Man taken to hospital after attack
A HAMPSHIRE man was taken to hospital after being attacked.
The 54-year-old suffered head injuries in the assault in the early hours of yesterday.
Police have today appealed for witnesses to the attack which happened on Redlands Lane, in Fareham, between 12.15am and 12.35am.
Officers have arrested two men, aged 37 and 33, both from Fareham, on suspicion of assault and robbery.
They remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Abbie Leeson from the Eastern Investigations Team has appealed for further witnesses.
She said “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident who has not yet spoken to us to come forward and make contact.”
