FIRE crews saved a teenage boy and two animals from a house fire at Cossack Green, Southampton.
Three engines attended to the scene at 7.46pm yesterday with crews from St Mary's and Redbridge.
A 16-year-old male was rescued from the home and treated by ambulance for smoke inhalation at the scene.
Crews also saved a dog and hedgehog who were inside the home.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 7.46pm to a fire at a terrace house with three floors, with the second floor bedroom severely damaged.
"We used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and one main jet.
"A dog and hedgehog were also rescued.
"A 16-year-old male was also treated by SCAS ambulance at the scene for smoke inhalation and didn't need to go to hospital.
"We received a stop message at 9.20pm."
