A SOUTHAMPTON pensioner caught more than double the drink-drive limit has been banned from the roads for two years.
Barry Bulpitt, 71, was caught drink-driving on Victoria Road, in Netley Abbey, on July 25.
He had 92 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath and pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates’ Court to drink-driving.
He was disqualified from driving for two years and made the subject of a 12 month community order, including 80 hours of unpaid work.
Bulpitt, of Peartree Road, Southampton, was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £90.
