LOVE Island winner Dani Dyer is to star in Nativity the Musical when the festive hit musical arrives in Southampton in December.

She will play Polly Parker, the role which saw her make her stage debut last year.

The feel-good comedy is set to hit the Mayflower stage from December 3 to 7.

Best known for winning the 2018 series of ITV’s Love Island, the popular reality TV dating show, Dani is the daughter of Eastenders actor Danny Dyer, who plays Mick Carter in the soap.

She has been co-hosting Capital Weekend Breakfast alongside presenter Rob Howard and will be back on TV screens soon as the host of a yet-to-be-announced TV series.

Dani will be joined on stage by 14 talented Hampshire youngsters who appear as the pupils of Oakmoor School.

Join teacher Mr Maddens and his crazy assistant Mr Poppy as they struggle with hilarious children, and a whole lot of sparkle and shine to make everyone’s Christmas wish come true.

Nativity the Musical features all the sing-a-long songs from the film including Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth and One Night One Moment.

Scott Garnham, of Billy Elliot The Musical and Les Miserables, fame reprises the role of Mr Maddens, while Ashleigh Gray, best known for playing the leading role of Elphaba in Wicked in the West End, returns as Jennifer Lore.

Scott Paige, who has appeared in Made in Dagenham, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Addams Family, will be making his musical lead debut as Mr Poppy.

The Hampshire children set to be appear in the show are Fireniece Stafford, Raela-Belle Farndell, Jessie Tennant, Isabel Hartley, Gretel Bradwell, Isla-Faye Wren, Elodie Dabreo, Grace Curtis, Alexander Ball, Max Ivemey, George Vidler, Samuel Wyatt, Leo Cropley and Leo Bailey.
