A "MARVELLOUSLY" managed Hampshire home care company has been rated 'outstanding'.

Home Instead Senior Care based in Fareham has received a coveted ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The independent regulatory body for the care industry recently inspected the home care company and deemed it to be among the top three per cent of service providers in the country.

During their visits, inspectors spoke to clients, family members of clients, members of staff and representatives from other local services that had experience of working with Home Instead.

The relative of one client said: “They are not just carers, they’re family.”

A client added: “They are all nice to me. On my birthday one carer brought me a lovely bunch of flowers.”

The service provides care and companionship to older people throughout Fareham, Gosport and surrounding areas, enabling them to live independently in their own homes for longer.

One caregiver went out of their way to walk a client’s dogs, outside of their working hours, while another filled a client’s balcony with the type of plants that the client missed from their old garden.

The service ran workshops for the family members of clients, to help them understand the possible progression of their loved one’s condition and how to engage the right healthcare professionals.

“We are so proud to receive this outstanding rating,” said John James, owner of Home Instead Senior Care.

“It’s outstanding people that make for an outstanding service and we have some truly wonderful, caring people on our team delivering exceptional care to our clients.

“People are at the heart of absolutely everything we do at Home Instead Senior Care.

"We are only able to deliver exceptional care by finding exceptional people who build long term relationships with our clients who are supported by the same caregivers day in and day out.”
