Bexley foodbank is asking for people to give generously as food supplies run out.

The bank is currently so low on food that they will soon be unable to open to those who need it most.

Bexley Foodbank has fed more than 7,000 last year and since April this year, it has already fed more than 3,385 clients.

However, without the help of locals, they cannot continue to help and see people though times of crisis.

The foodbank is run by volunteers and offers an opportunity for people to talk about their situation, and signposts them to support services.

If you can spare anything please bring it to Trinity Baptist Church, Trinity Place, 218 Broadway, Bexleyheath DA6 7AU on any Monday between 1pm and 3pm or any Friday between 10am and 12.00.

If you are unable to get to Trinity Baptist Church at these times volunteers can organise for food to be picked up, or you can deliver it to one of them at a more convenient time.

To do this please email info@bexley.foodbank.org.uk

The following items are desperately needed, soup, tinned beans and spaghetti , long life milk, tinned fruit and veg, pasta sauce, men’s and women’s deodorant, shower gel and rice pudding but all donations are welcome.
