ROMSEY have confirmed a new police sergeant, who has joined the station from Southampton.
PS Pete Smith is the new Romsey sergeant who will looking after Chilworth, Baddesley, Valley Park, Rownhams and Nursling.
He will be based at Romsey Police Station.
Sergeant Peter Smith said: “I originally worked in Romsey in the late 1990s before spending the past 20 years working mostly within Southampton.
“Returning to Romsey all these years later is a positive move for me, as the style of policing within Romsey and the surrounding areas is a more traditional style of policing, and one which is more akin to my style of working.
“I am delighted to be joining the team and serving the people within the Romsey policing area and look forward to the challenges ahead.”
