PUPILS from Newtown missed school on Friday and joined hundreds nationwide taking part in the "Climate Strike" day.
Young activists across the country have said they are "willing to sacrifice" their education in order to get action on climate change.
Hundreds of pupils in Wales left school to take part in the global "Climate Strike" day wanting "an end to fossil fuels and climate justice".
Wales has declared a climate emergency and set ambitious low emissions targets but protesters want more action.
The Newtown pupils staged their "Climate Strike" in the Town Hall grounds and were joining the UK Student Climate Network in one of 11 demonstrations across Wales – including in places including Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and Brecon.
