POLICE have launched a manhunt after a group of men was attacked leaving them covered in cuts and bruises.

Three 23-year-old men were assaulted by a group of four other males outside a kebab shop.

One of the victims was left suffering from concussion.

The incident took place in a busy area with people passing through, so police would like to speak to any witnesses.

It happened at around 3.15am on Wednesday, August 21 near Ali’s Kebabs in Commercial Road, Portsmouth.

A 17-year-old boy from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was released from custody but remains under investigation.

Police have now released CCTV images of a person they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

A police spokesperson said: "Do you recognise the person in these CCTV images? We want to speak to him in connection with an assault that took place.

"We would like to speak to the person pictured as he may have information to assist our enquiries.
