'Absolutely shocking': RSPCA chiefs in shock after horse stabbed to death in field
BOSSES at an animal welfare charity have described the death of a horse, found stabbed in a field near New Milton, as "absolutely shocking".
It comes after police put out an alert following the discovery of the horse in its field off Walkford Lane, Walkford.
A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: "It's absolutely shocking that someone would do something like this.
"How awful for the poor horse, and the owner.
"We’d encourage with any information, or who saw anything that might help me to find who is responsible to contact the police to help with their active investigation."
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: "Anyone with any information on this horrific incident please contact 101 quoting 44190350493."
