UPDATE: Death of man found in woods near A404 'not suspicious' - police leave scene
Police officers, including forensic investigators, were still on the scene today after a body was found on the A404 on Thursday morning.
A cordon was put in place between Burchetts Green and Temple on the Wycombe-bound carriageway on Wednesday morning.
At around 10.45am this morning, two police cars and one forensic van remained on the scene, with investigation work ongoing.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said yesterday: "Officers were called to a layby on the A404, at around 10.25am this morning (9/10) after the body of a man was discovered.
"South Central Ambulance Service was also in attendance and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference URN 387 9/10."
When approached for comment on Thursday morning, the police confirmed that 'there isn’t an update on the unexplained death.'
