POLICE are continuing their investigations after teens armed with samurai swords, knives, machetes and tasers ran riot in the streets of Southampton

Armed officers swooped to a block of flats on Montague Avenue after reports of around 30 armed teens thought to be between 15 and 18-years-old chased each other around during the “shocking” incident last month.

Officers in the Southampton East Neighbourhood Policing are now working within the neighbourhood to prevent further incidents from occurring.

Patrols in the area have increased and enquiries are ongoing with those believed to be involved.

Police urge anyone concerned about ongoing or planned serious violence in their neighbourhood to call 101.
