Winchester coroners court.
THE inquest has opened into the death of a 78-year-old man who was found hanging at his home address.
David Roy Gingell died at his home in Larkspur Gardens, Holbury, on September 30.
Winchester Coroner's Court heard Mr Gingell was identified to emergency services by his wife.
A post mortem carried out by pathologist Dr Victoria Elliot provided a preliminary cause of death as hanging pending toxicology results.
Acting area coroner Samantha Marsh adjourned the inquest until March 9, 2020.
