A MAN who assaulted a "heavily pregnant" woman has been given a suspended sentence.
Jack William Cornhill assaulted the woman at her home in Southampton.
The incident took place on August 17.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, the 25-year-old pleaded guilty to assault.
He was given a 12 week prison sentence, which was suspended for 18 months.
Cornhill, of no fixed address, was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work and 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122 and court costs of £85.
