A MAN was airlifted to hospital following a medical emergency in Purbeck.
The incident happened in Station Road in Swanage just before 2pm on Tuesday.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We received a call at 1.52pm on Tuesday, October 15 ,from the ambulance service requesting assistance with crowd control as it dealt with a medical incident in Station Road in Swanage. "
"Officers attended to assist and left the scene at around 2.50pm."
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that a man was treated at the scene and flown to hospital by air ambulance.
