A SOUTHAMPTON woman who bottled her victim in a “revenge” attack outside a city pub has been released from prison after an appeal against her sentence.

Top judges agreed to suspend the sentence of jailed Kylie Peck.

The 26-year-old was given an 18 month prison sentence at Southampton Crown Court in September.

She was previously found guilty at trial of the offence of wounding without intent following an incident at The Ice House pub, in Shirley Warren.

But she was freed yesterday after three top judges at the Court of Appeal in London said she should not have gone to jail.

Mr Justice Goose said: “We are persuaded that this sentence should have been suspended.

“Kylie Peck does not present as a risk or danger to the public, nor does she have a history of poor compliance with court orders.

“There is a realistic prospect of rehabilitation She is now six months pregnant.”

As previously reported in the Daily Echo, Peck and her two sisters Kirsty and Danielle were involved in the incident at The Ice House on October 21.

Daily Echo:

The court heard the victim Kylie Yorke was celebrating her 30th birthday at the pub, which was closed to the public, when Kirsty and her partner Stuart House attempted to enter.

Prosecutor Tim Moores said a scuffle broke out in which both Peck and House claimed they were assaulted.

Mr Moores said the pair left, but returned soon after with the two sisters and Charlie Attrill – the partner of Kylie Peck.

The court heard Danielle “violently” pulled Kylie Yorke to the floor before sister Kirsty Peck grabbed her hair.

Kylie Peck, of Colby Street, then used a wine bottle to deliver a “devastating blow” to her victim’s face, leaving her with a deep cut across the bridge of her nose.

Daily Echo:

Danielle Peck, 33, of Coxford Road, who pleaded guilty to affray, was given a nine month, sentence, suspended for two years, as well as a six month curfew order.

Kirsty Peck, 31, of Chestnut Road, who pleaded guilty to affray, was given an 18 month community order, including 120 hours unpaid work.

In February, Attrill, of Lockerley Crescent, Southampton, who pleaded guilty to affray, possession of a knife and possession of cocaine - all relating to the same incident - was given a 12 month sentence, suspended for 18 months.

House, of Old Redbridge Road, Southampton, who pleaded guilty to affray, possession of a knife and possession of a weapon, received the same punishment.
