THREE Warrington pubs will be offering FREE pints to their customers next week.

The Swan in Winwick, the Ring O’Bells in Daresbury and the Griffin in Bold Heath will all be giving away drinks free of charge between Monday, October 21, and Thursday, October 31.

Pints of Amstel, Pravha, Fosters, Carling and Greene King cask ales are included as part of the promotion.

Or, if beer is not your thing, free glasses of red, white and rose wine or a regular-sized soft drink are available too.

Chef and Brewer pubs across the country are taking part in the scheme in a bid to encourage workers to leave the office on time.

The chain’s research found that the average Brit has just 24 minutes to themselves after a long working day – while the average full-time employee leaves for home 23 minutes late.

Workers then spend 33 minutes travelling home, 39 minutes cooking and cleaning up after dinner and another 33 minutes doing household chores on average.

And 77 per cent of people surveyed wished they had more time to themselves on a weekday evening.

Marie Evans, general manager at the Swan, said: “We’re a nation that never switches off.

“Whether its staying late at work, a long commute home or household chores – we know all-too-well it can feel like there’s just not enough hours in the day.

“That’s why we’re encouraging people to sign our pledge to leave work on time at least once next week, so they can really make the most out of their evening – as well as enjoying a drink on the house in a relaxing pub environment and taking some much-needed time out to escape everyday life.

“We look forward to welcoming hard-working locals for a well-earned drink – they more than deserve it.”

The offer is available between 5pm and 7pm on the dates in question.
