MASKED men armed with metal tools raided a Hampshire football stadium in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Three men wearing balaclavas and dark clothing pried open the door to Silverlake Stadium, home to Eastleigh FC, on Stoneham Lane during the early hours of yesterday morning.

CCTV footage shows three men breaking through the door and raiding the shop area of the club at around 3.30am. 

Two men run through the door and split up searching for items they can take start taking items from the club.

Another man stands alone in the doorway. 

It appears that at least one of the men is carrying a metal tool. 

The CCTV footages shows the men in the shop for two minutes and captures them entering a back office before fleeing with a range of items. 

The club's security alarm sounded as soon as the door was broken. 

It is not yet known what was taken from the club but the video shows to thieves searching the desk for valuables while the other checks a mini fridge. 

No one has been arrested.

The club is now appealing for anyone with any information to contact the police.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Police said: “We are investigating after we received a report of a burglary at Eastleigh Football Club house on Stoneham Lane that happened at approximately 3.30am on Thursday, October 24.

“It was reported that entry had been gained by the front doors, which were damaged. The club was alerted after the alarm went off.

“No one has been arrested at this time.

“Enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote 44190380661.”

In a Tweet, the club said: “Unfortunately in the early hours of this morning we were broken into. 

“If anyone has any information please contact the club or the police on 101 Please retweet to spread the word!”

Eastleigh are currently 13th in the National League table.
