COMEDY legend Frank Skinner takes to the stage once more, with a brand-new show called Showbiz, which heads to Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday.

The all-round funny man and popular household name last toured the UK in 2014 with his critically-acclaimed show, Frank Skinner: Man in a Suit, which included a sold-out return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

A veteran performer of the festival, he won comedy’s most prestigious prize, The Perrier Award, at the event – beating fellow nominees, beloved comics, Jack Dee and Eddie Izzard.

Frank Skinner is also recognised for hosting TV panel shows such as BBC One’s Room 101 and Have I Got News for You; while attracting audiences of 11 million viewers to his talk show The Frank Skinner Show on ITV.

His award-winning Absolute Radio show, which continues to draw big audiences on Saturday mornings, saw him inducted in to the Radio Academy Hall of Fame several years ago.

He is a columnist for The Times and has written two autobiographies, while also well-known for topping the music charts twice during separate tournaments with football anthem, Three Lions, with TV co-host, comedian and novelist, David Baddiel, and the celebrated band, The Lightning Seeds.

His first play, Nina’s Got News, was staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, last year.
