WITH each hand filled with giant mugs of beer and cider, hundreds of folks gathered to celebrate the annual German festival Oktoberfest Southampton.
Whether it was with friends, family or partners, revellers took to the Guildhall to eat, drink and be merry at the fancy dress event.
From plaited hair to men dressed as Heineken bottles, the room was filled with a whole variety of patterns, frocks and suits.
It comes as part of millions of celebrations happening all over the world and is traditionally a 16 to 18-day folk festival in Munich and Bavaria.
And the event is also supporting charity, as this year, the festival is supporting Wessex Cancer Trust, with collectors seen dotted around the venue taking donations.
