TWELVE budding Saints stars were given the job of officially opening Southampton's new LEGO store.
The shop, in Westquay shopping centre, was opened for business earlier this month.
But now a dozen U-12s players from Southampton Football Club’s academy were invited to cut the ribbon of the new store to mark its grand opening weekend.
The young players were joined by beloved Southampton FC mascot Sammy Saint at the store.
Ian Herding, performance education and life care officer at Southampton Football Club said: “Our young players were thrilled to officially launch the Grand Opening weekend for the new LEGO Store in Southampton. Getting stuck into creating with LEGO bricks and literally turning potential into excellence is a perfect fit for our club – and we’re thrilled to welcome the LEGO Store to the local area.”
