POLICE have launched an appeal after a man approached a woman at a Hampshire railway station and told her "you are coming with me".

Officers say the assault happened at approximately 7.25am on September 28 at Fareham station.

They say a woman was waiting to board a train when an unknown man approached her from behind and grappled her.

According to police, the man said “you’re coming with me”, before she pulled away.

The man then continued to harass her and she left the platform to find help.

Now officers from the British Transport Police have launched an appeal.

Officers believe the man shown in the CCTV image above may have information which could help them investigate.
