A SPOOK-TACULAR firework display is being staged to raise money for a Hampshire school community.

Hiltingbury schools in Chandler’s Ford are hosting their annual Spooks and Sparks event on Thursday, November 7 that combines the fancy dress fun of Halloween with the excitement of bonfire night.

The popular event is sponsored by estate agent Sparks Ellison, raising money for both Hiltingbury

Infant and Junior schools, and organised by the Parent Teacher Association for the local community to enjoy.

Along with the entertaining firework display, crowds can enjoy refreshments including a BBQ and café offering hot drinks and cakes. New this year will be a bar selling mulled cider to warm up spectators while glow sticks and face painting will also be available.

Sophie Liddell from the PTA said: “Our Spooks and Sparks firework spectacular is a great evening for the school and our community in Chandler's Ford to come together. It raises funds for the schools and we know it is a highlight of the year for so many families."

Tickets for the event, which takes place at the Hiltingbury Road schools, are available from Andersons Newsagents on Hiltingbury Road and the Sparks Ellison office on Winchester Road and are priced at £4 if purchased before November 3 and £5 afterwards. Tickets will also be available on the night. Children aged under two are free. Gates open at 6pm with the display starting at 7pm.
