ROLAND Tilley pedalled his way to victory in the senior race of the Crabwood CC’s East Street Centre series around Hoglands Park, Southampton.
In the latter part of the 30-lap event on August 13, 1989, the rider joined a breakaway.
But when this group was caught, only Tilley survived at the front as the field surged to the line and he won by half wheel over Terry Morgan.
