A LADIES’ night of food and fashion raised £700 for a cancer charity.
Around 180 women enjoyed a buffet and catwalk show at the Millennium Ladies Evening at the Botleigh Grange Hotel, Botley, on November 6, 1999.
It was the fifth year the event had been organised by Sandy Jones of Warsash store Rhian, which provided the fashions, and Liz Cousins, marketing manager of the hotel, which provided the buffet meal.
More than £6,000 had been raised for the charity during that time.
