Dear Sir,

What a terrible vision for Southampton.

We have loads of shops closing all around the city.

How can the council spend £27,000,000 on new offices when we already have empty ones in the city and yet they are closing care homes and the roads and pavements are in a dreadful state.

We also have plenty of restaurants and more are being built in the Bargate area.

For once, why can't the council listen to what the citizens of Southampton have been asking for years?

A bus station (smaller towns have them), a proper coach station and mainly, and ice rink where families could enjoy a healthy activity, plus then we could have ice shows and even a hockey team again.

This would bring people in from surrounding areas. The artist's impression of Nelson Gate development looks hideous. How on earth will this put Southampton on the international map?
