AWARD-winning Indian restaurant Kuti's Brasserie is in the running to snap up another crown at the British Curry Awards.

The restaurant, based on Royal Pier in Southampton, will join three other shortlisted Hampshire restaurants to attend what is known as the ‘Oscars’ of the curry industry this month, which will mark their 15th anniversary as a globally-recognised curry award sector.

After previously being crowned Restaurant of the Year 2018 and the prestigious Tiffin Cup 2019, along with various other awards, Kuti's Brasserie has been shortlisted for Best Restaurant South East, with the winner set to be announced at London's Battersea Evolution amongst a crowd of celebrities.

Amongst other award categories include Special Recognition Award, Best Delivery Restaurant or Takeaway, Best Casual Dining, Newcomer of the Year and Best Restaurant Region awards.

Kuti's Brasserie opened in Southampton in August last year after moving from Oxford Street, London.

Kuti said: "I'm glad to be shortlisted for another award - not just for me but for Southampton city. Anything I have won, I have won for the city. I work hard and I'm very happy. If you serve your best, you get the best results. From the bottom of my heart, this is the best quality food you can get here at my restaurant."

British Curry Awards Founder, Enam Ali MBE, said: “I am so very grateful to local curry restaurant diners who, every year, take the effort to nominate their favourite restaurants for the British Curry Awards, and who provide us with their vital feedback, letting us know about the best service, the best curry cuisine and other factors for consideration."

Other Hampshire restaurants nominated include Gurkha Palace in Farnborough, Hook Tandoori in Hook and The Bay Leaf in Hindhead.

British Curry Awards take place on Monday November 25 at 6pm.
