POLICE have launched a fresh appeal after a man was knocked unconscious during an assault in central Southampton.
Police have today released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following the incident, in Above Bar Street in September.
Officers say they were called to reports of a 48-year-old man and a 43-year-old man being assaulted by an unknown man.
One of the men was punched, knocking him unconscious before the other man was kicked to the floor.
Both victims suffered cuts to their head, but fortunately did not suffer any serious injuries.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "Investigations into the assault, which happened on September 29 outside the Clothes Emporium, have been ongoing.
"Now, we’re asking the public if they recognise the man in the CCTV image, as we believe he may have information which could help with our enquiries.
"If this is you or if you think you know him please call us on 101, quoting 44190347445, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
