A WOMAN arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after reversing into a police car at the scene of a serious crash has been released under investigation.

The news comes as officers say they are continuing to investigate the initial crash, which involved an ambulance and a car.

Two paramedics and a female driver were rushed to hospital following the incident in Brockenhurst on November 27.

The crash took place at the junction of Lymington Road and Brookley Road around 7.15pm.

The ambulance, which was on a 999 call at the time, collided with a car and then crashed into the front of bike shop, Boost Bike Hub.

Around 10pm on the same night, in a separate incident, a woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after reversing into a police car dealing with the initial crash.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are still ongoing in relation to the initial crash.

"The woman arrested on suspicion of drink driving has been released under investigation."
