A MAN who stole £3,000 worth of iPhones from Southampton's Apple store and bit a member of the public has been given a suspended sentence.
Elisei Bujor, 22, stole the three mobile phones from the Westquay-based store on October 9.
He also bit a male victim in the same incident.
Bujor, of Shelbourne Road, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to theft and assault.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Bujor was sentenced to 10 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months.
Bujor will also have to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £450 in compensation to Apple and £200 in compensation to the victim of his bite.
