RAIL passengers in Hampshire have had their journey home disrupted by heavy flooding.
South Western Railway (SWR) has been forced to suspend services between two towns after hours of heavy rain.
Flooding has occurred on the tracks at Hedge End.
A SWR spokesman said: "Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between Fareham and Eastleigh all lines are blocked.
"Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
"We have been informed of flooding on the railway in the Hedge End area. This means the line is currently blocked in both directions between Eastleigh and Fareham via Hedge End and Botley.
"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
