TWO males have been arrested after an incident reportedly involving a weapon near to a Southampton school.
Police say they were called to Valentine Avenue around 8.34am today after a teenage boy entered a shop with a cut to his hand.
Officers say the boy, whose injury was described as "minor", left the store a short while later.
Police were called to the road, which is also home to Valentine School, and carried out enquiries in the area.
Two males have since been arrested.
A 24-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a class B drug.
A 17-year-old boy from Hamble has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and assault on an emergency worker.
The Echo contacted Valentine School but a staff member said the school was not aware of any incident.
