A HIGH Street retailer has unveiled its revamped store - which includes a rotating pizza oven and a "UK first" fresh pasta area.

Marks and Spencer has completed its revamp of its Hedge End store, which includes a major expansion of its food department.

The expansion includes a UK-first for M&S stores with the company's first ever Pasta Evangelists concession.

The area has a pasta chef making fresh artisanal pasta dishes in the new and improved deli every day.

The food area also has a new rotating pizza oven, a greengrocer style fresh market and a frozen section which has tripled in size.

The store also features a pick your own eggs station, a "Prep Kitchen" offering customised family tray bakes.

Its in-store cafe will also now include vegan, vegetarian and children menus.

Julia Palmer-Bennett, Store Manager at M&S Hedge End, said: “The team has been working so hard to get our Food department ready for customers and we’re really excited to reveal our new look in time for Christmas.

"We wanted to give our customers a store which offers an inspirational experience every time they shop with us, whether that’s popping in for staples, or for seasonal celebrations like Christmas to shop for gifts, food and all the trimmings.”

The store is located at Tollbar Way, Hedge End.

It will be open for extended hours; Monday – Saturday 8am – 10pm and on Sunday, 10am-4pm.
