A DOG which got its paw stuck in a piece of mesh had to be rescued by the fire service.
Eleven-month-old cross breed Gizmo became trapped whilst out for a walk with his owner at St Catherine’s Hill, Winchester, this morning (Thursday).
His paw had become stuck in the mesh fence between the steps and a fire crew spent over an hour tending to the furry friend.
Mildmay Vets were also called to the scene, but a spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said that no further treatment was needed.
