DEFYING medical odds one newborn baby truly is a Christmas miracle.
Reggie Tommy Sheldon was born on Christmas Day to first-time mum Daisy Shaw.
The 25-year-old was told by doctors she only had a 4 per cent chance of ever conceiving a child.
The care worker from Sholing had surgery for polycystic ovary syndrome earlier this year, then just months later was delighted to learn she was pregnant.
Daisy said: "It's such an overwhelming feeling. Reggie is a little Christmas pudding and I am so happy with him."
Meanwhile, Nichola and Adam Exley from Hedge End celebrated the birth of their second daughter.
She was the first baby to be born on Christmas day at the Princess Anne Hospital, Maternity Unit in Southampton, coming into the world at 12.30am.
Only learning their baby's sex on the day, Adam and Nichola are still deciding what to call her.
Over in Winchester, Lynn Sullivan bonded with son, Avery.
According to the yoga instructor from Eastleigh, the name Avery means "elf-lord".
Theo Robert John Wright was born on the same ward at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital to parents Sophie and Connor.
