ROMSEY at Christmas has always for me been a special place; Christmas 2019 was no exception.
In my position as Romsey Town Mayor I was invited to many functions, concerts, visits to residential homes and church services.
What a wonderful community there is in Romsey, with no exception, it has been a joy to meet so many lovely people leading up to and during the festive season, in fact since my term of office started in May 2019.
The icing on the cake was the carols in the Market Place.
I don’t think I have seen so many people in Romsey for the carols.
The tree and the lights were exceptional.
The Michelmersh Silver Band, Romsey Youth Choir, Romsey Male Voice Choir and Romsey Singers (I hope I have included everyone) led us through some traditional carols.
It is the residents that make a town what it is and Romsey is a great town.
I would like to wish all the residents of Romsey all the best for 2020.
