A PROLIFIC fuel thief stole more than £450 worth of fuel over 12 different trips to petrol stations in Southampton.
Kathryn Rebecca Hampton, 37, stole fuel from Shell and Tesco petrol stations between December 2018 and August 2019.
She targeted petrol stations in Thomas Lewis Way, Burgess Road, Bassett Avenue, Winchester Road and West End Road over 12 different occasions.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Hampton, of Salerno Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of fuel theft.
She also admitted committing the offences while subject to a conditional discharge order, imposed by Southampton Magistrates' Court in 2017.
Magistrates sentenced her to a total of 10 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months.
Hampton was also ordered to pay compensation of £465 – the total amount stolen over her nine month spree.
