A FAREHAM woman caught speeding by "the UK's most prolific speed camera" has been fined.

Lorraine Samways, 42, was caught driving at 40mph on the 30mph Maybray King Way on January 13.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Samways, of Yarrow Way, Locks Heath, denied speeding.

But she was found guilty following a trial at the court.

She was fined £220, ordered to pay court costs of £620 and a victim surcharge of £30.

Samways was also given three points on her licence.

As previously reported, the speed camera at Maybray King Way is home to the busiest speed camera in Britain – which was triggered more than 50,000 times between 2015 and 2017.
