THIS is the face of a man police are hunting following a knife point robbery of a woman in Hampshire.

It happened when a man brandishing a knife approached a 24-year-old woman on New Year's Day.

He threatened the victim before taking her bag.

Now police have released a photofit of a man they want to track down in connection with the robbery which happened in Andover.

The woman was targeted as she was walking along Millway Road, from the direction of Salisbury Road, between 8.30pm and 8.55pm.

The man is described as:

• White

• Aged around 20 years old

• Around 5ft 6ins tall

• Of skinny build

• Brown hair

He was wearing grey/black tracksuit bottoms, white trainers, and waist length blue/black waterproof jacket.

A statement released by Hampshire Police said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has any information.

"In particular, we would like to hear from any motorists who drove along this road between 8.40pm and 9pm that day.

"Anyone with information should call us on 101, quoting the crime reference number 44200001069.

"Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously."
