A HAMPSHIRE man who assaulted the same woman twice has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Darren Barnes, 52, assaulted his victim on two occasions last year.
The first incident happened in Fareham on April 16.
The second incident happened in Fareham on August 2.
Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, Barnes, of North End Grove, Portsmouth, pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault.
But he was found guilty following a trial at the same court this month.
Barnes was given a 12 month community order including 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirement and 80 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £300 and a victim surcharge of £85.
