CITY of Southampton Swimming Club (CSSC) picked up podiums and personal bests at the National Swim England Championships in Sheffield.

The nine strong team competed in the event that saw numerous British, European and World records broken.

Melissa Dolby, who competed in the 18-24 age category, placed third in the 50 metre Butterfly after a close final 10 meters.

Coach James MacTavish, who competed in the 35-39 age category, finished second in the 200 metre Butterfly.

He said:

"British Masters Swimming is quickly becoming one of the most competitive and well-attended sports in the UK, and to have such success amongst former Olympians and Commonwealth Champions is wonderful and credit to the hard work of the Southampton Masters Squad."

Hannah Dicker in the 25-29 group and Natalie Robinson in the 30-34 group both came away with personal bests in sprint disciplines.
