A MOTORCYCLIST is fighting for life after a crash with a car this morning.
The 20-year-old man was involved in a collision with a VTW Touran on the B3058 Holmsley Road near the junction with the A35.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received multiple 999 calls around 9.15am this morning all reporting a serious collision between a motorcyclist and a car on Holmsley Road near New Milton.
We sent an ambulance, the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance critical care car and helicopter to the incident.
"The motorcyclist had suffered multiple injuries and following initial treatment at the scene, was taken in a life-threatening condition by road to the major trauma centre at University Hospital Southampton, with some of the air ambulance team travelling in the ambulance."
Witnesses are being asked to call the Roads Policing Unit in Totton on 101.
