IT IS the primary school with one of the best sport facilities in the country.

Knightwood Primary School is home to more than 400 pupils and has been described as having some of the best fitness facilities in the country, including two MUGA courts and a large field

Knightwood runs on their six core values which are confidence, creativity, challenge, respect, happiness and perseverance - this is injected into every lesson.

The school teaches classes from Year R to Year 6 to prepare pupils for jobs which "do not exist yet".

Becky Rowe, Key Stage one manager, said: "Knightwood is a supportive community and I know it will bring creative, happy learners.

"We have around 400 pupils which is a nice number, you still can remember everyone's names and get everyone in for whole school assemblies.

"The school has such a lively feel to it."

Paul Haydon, headteacher of Knightwood Primary School, said: "I am so proud to be the headteacher of such a happy school where every learning opportunity makes a difference and where each step is recognised and celebrated.

"I know how much sport can impact someone's life, I don't know a primary state school with better sport facilities."

Knightwood offers a range of after school sport clubs, with some days giving students the opportunity to do two sports which run from 3pm to 5pm.

The school is located on Bellflower Way, Chandler's Ford.
