A SOUTHAMPTON man has been jailed for threatening the use of violence.
Kieran Neil John Pretlove, 28, appeared before court for the use of abusive and insulting words towards a woman in Dibden Purlieu on August 23.
On the same day, he was caught driving a Vauxhall Astra on Beaulieu Road while disqualified from holding a licence and without insurance.
Pretlove, of Milton Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to one account of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause his victim to believe violence would be used against her.
He also pleaded guilty to one account of driving while disqualified from holding a licence and one account of driving without insurance.
Pretlove was committed to prison for four months and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122.
