A SOUTHAMPTON man who assaulted two emergency workers and racially assaulted another man has been jailed.
Dawid Jan Varano, 26, assaulted a police detention officer and a police officer during an incident in Southampton on March 19.
He also assaulted a man in a racially aggravated incident in Southampton on September 27.
Varano also stole three mobile phone covers, worth £149, from John Lewis in Southampton on June 3 and assaulted another victim on the same day.
On September 27, he stole a pair of sunglasses, worth £15, from Primark in Southampton and was caught with a gram of cannabis.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Varano, of Belmont Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
He also pleaded guilty to one count of racially aggravated assault, one count of possession of a Class B drug, two counts of theft, and admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend unpaid work.
Varano was jailed for a total of four months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122.
