A MAN who failed to stop for police when he was caught driving without due care and attention has been banned from the roads for 18 months.

Dylan Alious Leitelmayer was caught driving a Honda Jazz without due care and attention on Church Road in Warsash on December 28.

When required to stop the car by a police officer, the 24-year-old failed to pull over.

He also failed to provide a specimen of blood to officers to test if a crime had been committed.

Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, Leitelmayer pleaded guilty to one account of failing to stop when required to do so, one account of driving without due care and attention, and one account of failing to provide a specimen of blood when required to do so.

Leitelmayer, of Oakwood Close, Warsash, Southampton, was disqualified from driving for 18 months and handed a community order.

He was also fined £50 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £90 and £85 in court costs.
