A POPULAR community music event returned to Stockbridge last Saturday.
Test Valley Borough Council’s Big Band Buffet offered the 110 visitors the chance to enjoy an afternoon full of music while meeting with friends and speaking to new people, with those who attended stretching into their 90s.
Hosted by Test Valley School the event featured the Clive Fortune Big Band, along with a number of speakers from community organisations who offered advice on safety, how to keep active and how best to stay healthy.
Among the speakers for the for event were Hampshire Constabulary, the NHS, Age Concern and Places Leisure.
Speaking before the event, community and leisure portfolio holder at the borough council, Cllr Tony Ward, said: “Residents often tell me how much they appreciate this event and it’s a credit to the council and to the partner organisations that we can help to offer something like this.”
