VISITORS needed their passports to check in for the annual play at Bitterne Park Secondary School, with aisle seats at a premium.
They were guided through information screens, through duty free and into the departure lounge were they awaited Package – the story of a holiday to Spain.
After four months of rehearsals, staff decided to transform the school into an airport setting in which to put the audience in the mood.
Then-headteacher Susan Trigger said: “It was about ethos building and appreciating everybody’s contribution. More than 120 pupils were involved in the play.”
