AN UNLICENSED and uninsured driver injured a mother and her children while driving a stolen vehicle.
George Ronald John Cobb, 20, was driving the stolen vehicle when he was involved in the crash on Bishops Wood Road, Swanmore.
After the crash, which caused an injury to a mother and three children, Cobb fled the scene.
At Southampton Magistrates’ Court, Cobb, admitted aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop at the scene of a crash and driving without a licence and insurance.
He was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months.
Cobb, of Wymering Lane, Cosham, was also ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and six days of rehabilitation activity.
He was also banned from driving for 24 months and ordered to pay compensation of £500.
