A HAMPSHIRE road is still closed today - more than 12 hours after a crash and a fire involving at least two vehicles.

The B3035 is shut between Corhampton and Bishop's Waltham following what is being described as a "serious" collision at around 4.30pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 4.31pm to a serious collision between a car and a motorcycle on the B3035 near Corhampton.

"The B3035 is currently closed between Corhampton Lane near Corhampton and Sailor's Lane towards Bishop's Waltham."

One of the tweets posted on social media yesterday said: "There was a serious accident on the B3035 between Corhampton and Bishop's Waltham this afternoon.

"It is reported that two cars and two motorcycles were involved in the incident and at least two caught fire."

Droxford Fire Station added: "Called to two 2 RTCs today, the second being a serious collision and ensuing Corhampton road. Supporting our neighbours from Bishop's Waltham.

"Our thoughts are with everyone involved."

One motorist said: "We were driving down the Corhampton to Morestead road and two plain white vehicles with blues were heading towards where the Corhampton to Bishop's Waltham road closure."

Another social media user described a "large vehicle/motorbike fire" on Corhampton Lane, just by the golf club, but said no-one had been hurt.

This morning the traffic information service ROMANSE said the road was still closed, adding that diversions were in place.
